What this edition demonstrates

Arithmetic line expressions and discounted costs divided by discounted generation.

No market-price claims; financing, tax and revenue are excluded.

The public website hosts a read-only synthetic projection. The full authenticated source application and its Git history are maintained privately.

All fixtures are fictional. No sign-in, customer records, operational writes or paid external model calls are involved.

MATHEMATICAL SPECIFICATION & UNITS

Governing Equations, Inputs, Outputs & Dimensional Conventions

Solstice Cost Studio executes deterministic client-side calculations in the browser. Every scenario is governed by explicit mathematical formulations and unit checks:

AC_Capacity (MW) = Capacity_MWp / (DC/AC Ratio); E_t (MWh) = Capacity_MWp × Yield (kWh/kWp) × (1 − d)^{t−1}; LCOE (GBP/MWh) = NPV(CAPEX + OPEX) / NPV(E_t)

Declared Units & Arithmetic Conventions: DC capacity in MWp; AC capacity in MW; specific yield in kWh/kWp/yr; degradation d in %/yr; discount rate in %; CAPEX and OPEX in GBP; LCOE in GBP/MWh.

Scope & Operational Boundary: Solar mounting/capacity cost comparisons, synthetic rate cards and discounted generation. Financing, taxation and revenue are explicitly outside scope.

PROCEDURAL USAGE GUIDE

How to Use Solstice Cost Studio in 3 Reproducible Steps

  1. Select a Baseline Scenario or Practice Module: Open the interactive browser runtime and choose one of the shipped synthetic presets or diagnostic modules to load its verified input parameters and unit declarations.
  2. Inspect Intermediate Traces & Constraints: Review the computed ledger, error diagnostics (MAE/RMSE/margin/balance checks), or bilingual explanations alongside the governing equations documented on mkbiz.co.business/methodology/.
  3. Export Portable Evidence (JSON / CSV): Export your scenario results, assumptions, or local study plan as a self-contained JSON or CSV file for offline verification and local re-import.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Methodological & Boundary FAQs

What mathematical model and units does Solstice Cost Studio use?

Solstice Cost Studio applies AC_Capacity (MW) = Capacity_MWp / (DC/AC Ratio); E_t (MWh) = Capacity_MWp × Yield (kWh/kWp) × (1 − d)^{t−1}; LCOE (GBP/MWh) = NPV(CAPEX + OPEX) / NPV(E_t). Units: DC capacity in MWp; AC capacity in MW; specific yield in kWh/kWp/yr; degradation d in %/yr; discount rate in %; CAPEX and OPEX in GBP; LCOE in GBP/MWh.

What are the operational boundaries and limitations of Solstice Cost Studio?

Solar mounting/capacity cost comparisons, synthetic rate cards and discounted generation. Financing, taxation and revenue are explicitly outside scope. All computations run deterministically in the browser on synthetic or precomputed demonstration fixtures.

How can I reproduce the benchmark results in Solstice Cost Studio?

Open the interactive browser workspace at ./run/, select Case 1 to inspect the worked result (Case 1 (10 MWp fixed-tilt solar plant, DC/AC ratio = 1.25 → 8.0 MW AC, specific yield = 1,300 kWh/kWp, degradation = 0.45%/yr, discount rate = 6%, inflation = 2%, 25-year life, 15 ha land): Total CAPEX = 5,335,122.72 GBP, Annual OPEX = 124,621.32 GBP/yr, and discounted LCOE = 45.79 GBP/MWh.), and export the JSON or CSV evidence ledger.
